PLAP
Program Description:
Join Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth and Community Services (BPRYCS) at Pine Lake Adventure Park (PLAP) for our outdoor climbing camp taking place during BPS April/Spring Break (April 13-17). This immersive experience is designed to challenge campers of all skill and comfort levels, fostering both physical and emotional growth through a variety of exciting activities and lessons. Throughout the week, campers will engage in a combination of low and high elements at PLAP, offering opportunities to push personal boundaries, improve physical endurance, and most importantly, have fun. In addition to climbing, our camp will emphasize ground games and activities, which are designed to strengthen team dynamics, enhance communication, and cultivate a sense of camaraderie among participants. These interactive activities encourage participants to trust each other, build leadership skills, and learn how to navigate challenges together.

At the heart of the camp experience is an emphasis on outdoor awareness and education. Campers will learn valuable skills related to environmental stewardship, safety, and respect for nature. By engaging with the outdoor world in a mindful way, campers will gain a deeper appreciation for their surroundings and develop a greater connection to the natural environment. Join us at Pine Lake Adventure Park for this unforgettable adventure, where fun, challenge, and growth come together to create an experience that will empower you to reach new heights!

Waiver and Disclaimer
PLAP programs involve a variety of activities that often include warm-ups, games, group initiatives problems, low and high ropes elements, and other potentially rigorous physical activities. The level of participation in every program activity is "challenge by choice", meaning the choice whether to participate or not, and the level of that participation, is up to the individual participant. As with any physical activity, there is an element of risk, which must be assumed by each participant. Though the course is inspected regularly and is facilitated by experienced trainers, there is the possibility that a participant may suffer an emotional injury, and/or physical injury, resulting in permanent disability or death. Each participant and their parent/guardian voluntarily assumes the risk of such injury.

Participation waivers will be sent to each camper's parent/guardian prior to the start of the camp program. Each camper must have a completed waiver to attend camp.

Refund Policy
BPRYCS DOES NOT ISSUE CAMP REFUNDS. Please note that cancelling out of the program prior to the start date will result in a 50% CREDIT to your account. No credit or refund will be issued after the start of camp. Refunds are NOT provided for missed camp days due to behavioral discipline.
