Program Description:
The program provides an opportunity for teens to bond with positive role models through discussions, hands on activities and field learning while in a safe and supportive environment. Meetings will provide important social and real-world learning experiences that enhance and add to each participants skill set. This program delivers the much needed and in demand life skills topics that are essential to preparing the young people to make educated and informed choices as they transition into adulthood. Participants will gain knowledge that will allow them to evaluate unhealthy situations, be able to and become more knowledgeable about resources in the community that are available to them.
About the Instructors:
This group is facilitated by Ashante Malone, LMSW Youth and Family Coordinator and Aubrey Minkler, Community Services Coordinator with Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth and Community Services. Ashante holds a Masters Degree in Social Work and both facilitators have many years of experience working with youth of all ages in both individual and group settings!

Students will also learn about budgeting, saving, managing income, and understanding financial planning basics, which is essential for making informed decisions about money in both personal and professional settings.
