The Soul Session: A Night of Live Music & Art

Bristol, CT – [January 2, 2025]  The Soul Session: A Night of Live Music & Art—Celebrating the Essence of Jazz, R&B, and Neo-Soul
Powered by Downtown Live in Collaboration with Paradigm Arts & Culture Foundation Inc., sponsored in part by The City of Bristol Arts and Culture Commission.

Downtown Live and Paradigm Arts & Culture Foundation Inc. are thrilled to announce The Soul Session: A Night of Live Music & Art, a celebration of the timeless essence of jazz, R&B, and neo-soul music. This inaugural event is part of the In My Element event series designed by Paradigm to create immersive experiences where diverse voices and creative perspectives can shine. The Soul Session will be held on Saturday, January 18th, 2025, at the historic Rockwell Theater in Bristol, Connecticut, bringing together the community for an unforgettable evening of musical performances, artistic expression, and cultural connection.

This special production, designed to capture the spirit and soul of Connecticut’s vibrant creative community, will feature a dynamic line up of local and regional talent, from vocalists and instrumentalists to spoken word artists and visual creators. Attendees can expect live music performances that blend the improvisational energy of jazz, the rich storytelling of R&B, and the smooth grooves of neo-soul.

In addition to the musical line up, the event will host a silent art auction, showcasing original works from talented Connecticut-based artists. The auction aims to support the local arts community by providing a platform for these artists to display their work and by raising funds for future artistic projects through Paradigm Arts & Culture Foundation Inc.

The Soul Session is more than just a concert - it's a movement celebrating the power of the arts to bring people together, tell meaningful stories, and foster cultural appreciation,” says Maxine Bowden, Event Curator at Paradigm. “We’re excited to present an evening where music, art, and community converge in a powerful way.”
