News: 2024 Rockin’ Out at Rockwell Summer Concert Series Line Up Announced

Bristol, CT – [May 16, 2024] The City of Bristol Department of Parks, Recreation, Youth and Community Services (BPRYCS) is pleased to announce the line up for the Rockin’ Out at Rockwell Park Summer Concert Series for the summer of 2024. 

The free weekly concerts are held on Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Amphitheater at Rockwell Park. This year’s series features eight weeks of performances from June 25th to August 13th. Attendees are encouraged to bring family and friends, blankets and chairs, and to grab dinner at one of the food trucks, organized by the West End Association. Below is the lineup for the series:

June 25 – Cajun Ray and The Steamers (Variety, Rock)
July 2 – River of Dreams (Billy Joel Cover, Soft Rock/Pop Rock)
July 9 – Gideon King & City Blog (Funk/Soul/Jam)
July 16 – Larry Stevens Band (Rock n’ Roll, Adult Contemporary)
July 23 – Soul Sound Revue (Motown)
July 30 – The Speakers (Danceable Funk-Rock)
August 6 – Spirit Shaker (Hard Rock, 70’s 80’s 90’s)
August 13 – Latanya Farrell (Soul/R&B)

The 2024 Rockin’ Out at Rockwell Summer Concert Series is sponsored by The West End Association, Xfinity, Thomaston Savings Bank, and RV Enterprise LLC.  
Superintendent Dr. Joshua Medeiros stated, “The Rockwell Park Summer Concerts are one of Bristol’s most anticipated summer event series. Each week hundreds of folks come out to enjoy a variety of tunes, dance, and be entertained alongside neighbors and friends. Parks truly build community and we look forward to seeing you at the amphitheater!”

In anticipation of this years’ Summer Concert Series, Arianna Therriault, Arts and Culture Supervisor said, “We are so excited to offer eight weeks of free music and good times for the public at Rockwell Park, it’s going to be a wonderful Summer for Bristol!”

If Tuesdays show is cancelled, rain dates will be on Wednesday, same time and place. The Rockwell Park amphitheater is located at 238 Jacobs Street, Bristol, CT 06010.
