Rockin' Out at Rockwell Summer Concert Series Returns to Rockwell Park this Tuesday, June 20th
Bristol, CT – [June 16, 2023] – The Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth & Community Services (BPRYCS) department’s annual Rockin’ Out at Rockwell Summer Concert Series returns this Tuesday, June 20th for free weekly concerts in the park. This year’s series features eight weeks of performances from June 20th to August 15th (no concert July 4th). Concerts are held on Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Amphitheater at Rockwell Park (entrances located on Jacob Street, Dutton Ave. and Terryville Rd.) and are free to attend. The rain date for all concerts is Wednesday (the following day).
“We’re excited to kick off the series this Tuesday with Cajun Ray and The Steamers, a local community favorite who has played over at Federal Hill Green for years,” remarked Dr. Joshua Medeiros, Superintendent of BPRYCS. “The line up will also feature a variety of musical genres including Pop, Motown, Latin, Rock, Rhythm & Blues, Country and even a Grateful Dead Tribute Band. With over 4,200 community members having joined us at the concert series last year, we’re looking forward to this summer’s line up and providing something for everyone, continued Medeiros.”

The city’s new Arts and Culture Supervisor, Arianna Therriault, commented “Rockwell Park Amphitheater holds plenty of seats, but attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the evening. Dancing will be encouraged. Community members will also be able to purchase dinner at one of the food trucks, nicely organized by the West End Association again this year.”
