Community Members Invited to 2nd Annual Pride Nightwith Bristol Blues and BPRYCS

Pride - 1
Bristol, CT – June 9h, 2022 – The City of Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth and Community Services (BPRYCS) is excited to be collaborating with the Bristol Blues for the city’s second annual Pride Night. Pride Night was introduced to the city in 2020 but didn’t come to fruition until June 2021.

The event was developed with the idea of having a pride event in the City of Bristol where the LGBTQIA+ community, family, friends, and allies can come together to celebrate Pride Month. This year’s event is being planned by BPRYCS youth group “Bristol Youth Celebrating Diversity and Pride” which is made up of local middle and high school students.

BPRYCS Youth and Family Coordinator and program facilitator, Kyana Anderson remarked “I am so excited to be helping plan and facilitate this event with the Bristol Blues again this year. I created Bristol Youth Celebrating Diversity and Pride with the goal of creating a safe space for young people to be their authentic selves.”

Pride Night will be held on Tuesday June 14th at Muzzy Field in Bristol. Gates open to the public at 5:00PM and first pitch will be at 6:30PM. There will be a variety of vendors, resources, games, giveaways, raffles and more on the concourse starting at 5:00 PM.

Jordan Scheiner, Bristol Blues General Manager shared, “The Blues are really excited to have another Pride Night, we felt that the first one was a success and hope to have an even more successful event this year.  The Blues strive to be an inclusive organization, and this is something we hope this event can produce.” Bristol Blues Director of Community Relations, Sarah Lucian noted “We are extremely grateful and proud to be working with the BPRYCS for the 2nd annual Pride Night our organization is all about inclusivity and having respect for all people.”

This is a Bristol Blues ticketed event and tickets can be purchased at the box office the day of the game or online at www.bristolbluesstore.com. BPYRCS & the Bristol Blues are thankful to PODS for sponsoring this event.
