Parks, Recreation, Youth and Community Services Invites Community Members to Inaugural Dinner ON the Diamond at Historic Muzzy Field

Bristol, CT – [April 22, 2022] – Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth and Community Services invites community members to the Inaugural Dinner on the Diamond Fundraiser event. This unforgettable evening will take place on Bristol’s historic Muzzy Field on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. The event will be highlighted by a seated dinner, a cocktail hour, live entertainment and a raffle with the opportunity to win unique, one-of-a kind items. All proceeds will benefit the Friends of Bristol Parks and Recreation Fund through the Main Street Community Foundation.

“We are excited to host such a unique fundraising opportunity for the community. This event is timelier than ever as we head into the summer season where we are anticipating an influx of residents itching to return to camps, programs, and social opportunities,” said Erica Benoit, Community Engagement Coordinator. “The evening will not only raise funds to support Youth Service Bureau scholarships, community driven projects, and coalition resources, but also serves as an opportunity to bring community members together and build awareness for upcoming initiatives and projects.”

The fundraiser event, catered by Greenhouse Café & Tavern out of Burlington, will be held outdoors directly on infield at Muzzy Field. “Muzzy Field is recognized as a historic landmark and holds a special place in many community members’ hearts. Residents will tell you the field, dating back over one hundred years, has hosted greats to the likes of Babe Ruth and Vince Lombardi,” noted Benoit.

Individual tickets, couple tickets, and table reservations for Dinner on the Diamond are now open to the public at www.BristolRec.com and provide a rare view from the playing field with tables set up on the infield. Each table will seat 6 people and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, with tickets starting at $95 for individuals, couple tickets priced at $160, and standard tables starting at $475. Attire is business casual/cocktail and guests are encouraged to use caution if planning to wear heels. The rain date for the event is Saturday, June 4th.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available and more information on Dinner on the Diamond is available at www.BristolRec.com. For table and sponsorship inquiries, or to reserve a table, please contact ericabenoit@bristolct.gov.
