Bristol Parks Superintendent tapped to serve as Faculty Member at National

Bristol, CT – [February 4, 2022] – City of Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth & Community Services
Superintendent Josh Medeiros was selected to become a faculty member for the prestigious National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA) Directors School. NRPA Directors School is an exclusive two year professional development program that prepares new and potential parks and recreation directors to be effective leaders. Medeiros will join a small faculty comprised of directors from across the country including the City of Seattle, City of Chicago, and City of Los Angeles. He will be instructing two courses over a 1 week period including Director’s Role in Advocacy and Developing Capital Improvement Plans and Financial Plans.

Superintendent Medeiros states, “I’m excited to share my love of teaching and experiences as Director in Bristol with a group of upcoming professionals from across the country. I’m looking forward to learning from the students and incorporating their ideas here in Bristol.” Superintendent Medeiros begins his service to Directors School in August 2022. All travel expenses are covered by the national association.
