Bristol resident Scott White selected as Park Maintainer with the City of Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth & Community Services

The City of Bristol Department of Parks, Recreation, Youth and Community Services is pleased to announce the selection of Bristol resident Scott White as the newest Park Maintainer in our Parks, Grounds & Facilities Maintenance Division. Scott has 13 years of previous experience in grounds and building maintenance, operating equipment, fleet maintenance, and service to all types of mechanical devices. Additionally, Scott was a facilities manager and coach at McCabe Waters Little League where he volunteering helping out with grounds and repair work.

Over 40 applicants were received for the Park Maintainer position and a rigorous multi-round interview process was held. Superintendent Dr. Josh Medeiros noted, “We were really impressed with Scott’s enthusiasm, work experience, and volunteerism in the Bristol parks where he received glowing praise from peers and supervisors.”

In anticipation of his new role, Scott said, "I am excited to start working towards keeping Bristol a great place to live, work and play!”

Scott White officially assumed the role of Park Maintainer on Monday October 4, 2021 with an annual starting salary of $48,672.
