About the Program:
Man Up is a confidential support group for adolescent males to discuss issues, receive support, develop new skills, and form positive relationships with peers and mentors. This FREE program consists of 1 hour weekly sessions for 10 weeks and will take place at the Bristol Boys and Girls Club, located at 255 West Street in Bristol, CT. Participants can be referred by school personnel, Bristol Youth and Community Services staff, and parents/guardians. The size of this group will range between ten to twelve adolescent males ages 11-13 years old. Man Up is created to act as a safe space for all participants and looks to provide an opportunity for young men to bond with positive male role models while experiencing alternatives to think, feel, and do. Dinner and transportation to/from the program will be provided each week!
(Please note this group will not meet on April 16th, 2025 due to Spring Break.)

Program Benefits:
- Assist participants in developing skills and techniques to manage stress and reduce reactive aggressive responses
- Increase participants’ awareness of stress triggers and fight or flight reactive behaviors
- Provide at risk middle school aged males a supportive, safe place to deal with the issues surrounding adolescence, along with positive male role models and/or mentors
