About the Program:
Empower Hour is a free, 8 week social skills group open to Bristol elementary students in 1st through 3rd grade (ages 6 through 9). Empower Hour will run on Wednesdays from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. from September 25th, 2024 to November 13th, 2024 for approximately eight sessions.This program is open to approximately 10 youth who can be referred by parents/guardians, school staff, and/or other community resources.This program will address a new topic each week, such as self-awareness, impulse control, relationship building, emotion regulation, and responsible decision-making.

About the Instructors:
Empower Hour is facilitated by Raven Cody, LMSW, Youth & Family Coordinator with Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth & Community Services.

Program Benefits:
- Participants will have the opportunity to further develop and/or enhance their ability to identify feelings and coping strategies in order to regulate their emotions.
- Empower Hour provides an opportunity for students to engage in activities that further develop their relationship building and friendship skills.
- Participants will learn new things, make new friends, and have fun!
