This program is designed for youth who are interested in learning the basics of cricket. Cricket is a team sport, played outdoors, that involves a combination of physical, mental, and behavioral skills that can be used by players to not only learn the game, but to apply in other areas, too. Participants will enjoy running, catching the ball, batting, and engaging in a fun and friendly team sporting event that has millions of followers across the world.
- Participants will have an increased knowledge of the rules and gameplay of cricket.
- Participants will see an increase in hand-eye coordination.
- Participants will have increase socialization with their peers.
About the Instructor(s):
Phani Gorty is a highly skilled and experience cricket coach with a passion for the sport. Phani has been coaching youth between the ages of 6-15 years for 2 years in the United States. Phani's cricket journey started many years back where he played until the collegiate level. Phani holds a Level 3 certification and has a deep understanding of the technical, tactical, physical and mental aspects of cricket. Phani runs a cricket academy where players are exposed to tournaments and competitive games across the East Coast region.
